Did you know it’s actually been proven by researchers in Australia that a Wednesday is the best day of the week for having a glass of wine? It’s been said that enjoying a hump day glass of wine can help relax you and help you to celebrate and reward yourself for getting over the bulk of the working week.
Most people are opening their bottle of “Wednesday Wine” at 6:35PM, and this is happening more often than not at home, not in pubs and bars, and that was before lock down. With lock down in place at the moment, what’s stopping you enjoying a mid afternoon glass in the sun whilst you work from your laptop in the garden? Don’t let quarantine stop you enjoying yourself or taking pleasure from the little things!
We curate some fantastic selections of organic and natural wines perfect for a Wednesday wine tipple or any day of the week for that matter and deliver safely direct to your front door. Now the sun is out, we are currently working on a fantastic Summer Selection box which will compromise of hand-picked white and rosé wines, ideal for summer.
Easter weekend us usually a great time to eat, drink wine and socialise but things are a little different this year! With lockdown in full swing, it may not be the usual celebration but that shouldn’t stop us from having a little tipple and enjoying ourselves in the spring weather.
Did you stock up on wine ahead of the Easter weekend? Wine sales have increased massively with lockdown and it’s becoming increasingly hard to get hold of some of our favourite wines off the shelf on an essentials trip to the supermarket.
This is a great opportunity to be trying something a little different. We promose you won’t be disappointed by some of our beautiful natural and organic wines selected from all over the world to accompany that Easter Sunday dinner, or perhaps just go with your takeaway pizza and enjoy in your comfiest pair of joggers.
Lockdown is challenging at the best of times without the addition of the Easter holidays creeping up, bored children at home and the stress of trying to juggle this with home working! We feel the pain, so why not treat yourself this Easter and give yourself something to look forward to in the evening!
If you would like to find out more about our carefully curated wine selections please check our our product pages or alternatively you can speak with us through WhatsApp through the link on our homepage.
Happy Easter everyone! There’s never been a better time to order yourself a box of wine!
The last few weeks I’ve been busy tasting a bunch of wines ready for some of our boxes. They’ve all been very good and a lot of them will likely make it into boxes in the future, whether that’s in subscriptions, features or both. Some people reading this will have already had some of them too, which I’m pretty excited about.
Of particular note was the no added sulphite Chardonnay, which was exactly to my personal taste of white wine; the Muscat which was sweet and syrupy and the Riesling which was sharp and crisp.
Probably some videos and blogs coming on each bottle soon.

Supermarkets, shops and off-licences could soon run out of wine and beer after pubs, bars and restaurants close across the nation, and an unprecedented demand for alcohol to get people through the Covid-19 lock down drives stockpiling and bulk buying.
Shoppers have already been greeted with empty shelves in many areas as customers stockpiled from Friday 20th March, after the government announced the closure of all pubs, bars and restaurant. This has left many people without wonderful wine.
Majestic Wine’s website crashed as shoppers inundated the retailer with orders for cases of red and white to get them through the isolation of a shutdown, and we have already seen Naked Wines stop taking orders due to low stock.
It leads to worry that the country could soon run out of wine with importers prioritising food and other essentials over wine, spirits and beer… But look no further, we still have plenty of stock to go round and are still delivering direct to your door with one day delivery available!
Get stocked at the weekend – Speak to us today to find out more about our one off boxes and on going wine subscription services.
If you’re getting stuck at home, either through working from home, self-isolation or through the school closures, it’s almost certainly a great time to drink some wine. Why you might ask? Well, who is to say that just because we are restricted or at risk, that we can’t have enjoyment from the little things in life, like great food and wine!
At the moment our wine subscription deliveries are running as normal, so you can get some wine delivered either as a one off box, or a subscription.
We are all in the same situation here and doing what’s required in an unexpected predicament to protect the well being of family, friends and ourselves globally. Everyone is having to make sacrifices, whether missing out on work, travel, events, sports, and other social gatherings. For some of us, that may mean spending time in isolation, with family, or even for a few, alone.
So let’s make the best of it and toast, at home, no matter how near or far, the day when we can all gather again, interact and socialise over a wine or three! In the meantime, treat yourself and get wine to your door.
It’s been 27 days now, with only 2 (planned) exceptions. Can’t remember the first one, the second was an 18th.
Overall, my skin has improved, my sleep quality (not duration) has improved, my fitness (and ability to train harder) and my resting heart rate have improved too – it’s great.
The impact is so large because of how much and regularly I’ve been drinking over the last 12 months or more. The compound impact of it makes a difference all around.
That’s why responsible drinking is so important.
The big time health stuff that the doctors and health pro’s talk about is important, but it’s the day to day issues that can affect the most people in the most regular way.
Even though I’m selling wine, I’m promoting responsible drinking.
You don’t have to have a bottle of wine a night – that’s probably not a good idea really. You can enjoy a good bottle of wine a couple of times a week maybe, rather than a poor bottle every night.
Generally speaking I drink spirits and wine – gin and whisky are my go to drinks but vodka can make its way into the mix too. It’s very rare I drink a beer/lager really. I think a lot of people are becoming the same.
The price points appear to be merging a little, so it’s maybe just as easy to buy a bottle of gin as it is a box of beers. Then a couple of gins per night and it soon racks up.
I want to try and encourage everyone to drink more responsibly, whether you drink our wine or not.
If you follow our Instagram then you’ll have seen a lot of me talking about quitting drinking for 100 days. I actually stopped in 31/8/19.
A bunch of people have said “but you run a wine business” and that’s exactly the point.
I’ve quit drinking thanks to my self awareness. I realised I’ve been putting myself under a lot of pressure recently and coping (at least in part) with a fairly large alcohol intake, which really doesn’t help at all and isn’t great for short or long term health.
I also want to promote responsible drinking. Yes, I run a wine business, but that doesn’t mean I want to promote unhealthy habits. I’m a slave to my impulses, readers of this may or may not be. I want to be clear that it’s not all about balancing your social events around alcohol. That’s not healthy either.
I also want to take better care of my body. I train a lot. It’s harder with alcohol especially when it’s compounded over days and weeks, so I’m focusing on getting back into great shape during these 100 days. You’ve only got one body that carries you around for your entire life so looking after it is important.
I’m keeping everyone on insta updated daily via the MORNING COFFEE vlogs I do, but I’ll also be posting regular updates here so please check them out.
